我刊由《乡村医学》更名为《中国初级卫生保健》已经一年了。我们向全国各地的广大读者、作者、编委和有关领导致以亲切的问候,感谢你们对本刊的关心、支持和指导。一年来,我们矢志不渝地坚持了“积极推进我国的初级卫生保健,为实现2000年人人享有卫生保健而奋斗”这一办刊宗旨。紧紧围绕着世界卫生组织提出的初级卫生保健的八项任务,组织报道内容。在办刊过程中,我们突出了文稿的科学性、适宜性、先进性,注重初级卫生保健理论的研究,希冀广大读者从中吸取新的思想、新的信息、开阔视野、更新概念,把工作的重点转向做好初级卫生保健工作上来。一年来,《中国初级卫生保健》杂志经受了严峻的考验,她同广大读者一起,在思考、探索中不断前进。举世瞩目的党的十三次全国代表大会确定了在社会主义初级阶段,建设有中国特色
