本文对现存广州市广从公路旁大窝岭“广州市基督教公墓”一批残存与传教士有关联的墓志铭文作了整理和介绍,以期引起更多学人关注传教士在广州的活动足迹。通过研究,我们了解到,19世纪到20世纪上半叶,前来广州传教的基督教新教传教会有英国的伦敦会、循道会、北美长老会、美国基督公理会、新西兰州长老会布道团、美国南浸礼会等;在前来传教的美国人当中,以出生美国东部的牧师为主,这反映了19世纪与广州交往的主要是英国和美国东部地区。这批墓志主要是以传教士的妻儿为主,因而反映出来华传教的传教士是携带家眷一起来的。虽然这里保留下来的墓志铭不多,但是留给我们的信息十分广阔,使我们了解到19世纪至20世纪初广州地区活跃着一批来自欧美各地基督教新教传教士,一些重要的传教会也设据点于广州。
This article summarizes and explains the extant epitaphs of the surviving missionaries associated with the missionaries in Guangzhou from the Dawawaling / Guangzhou Christian Cemetery on the side of the highway in order to attract more scholars to pay attention to the activities of missionaries in Guangzhou Footprint. Through the study, we learned that from the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, the Protestant missionaries who came to Guangzhou to teach were the London Society, the Methodist Society, the Presbyterian Church of North America, the American Church of Christ, the Presbyterian Mission of New Zealand , The Southern United States Baptist Church, etc .; Among the missionary Americans, the pastor was born in the eastern part of the United States, reflecting the 19th century contacts with Guangzhou, mainly in the United Kingdom and the eastern United States. These eunuchs are mainly based on the wife and children of missionaries, thus reflecting that missionaries from China are brought along with their families. Although there are not many epitaphs preserved here, the information that has been left to us is very broad, which shows us that a number of Protestant missionaries from various parts of Europe and the United States are active in Guangzhou from the 19th century to the early 20th century. Some important missionaries also set up Stronghold in Guangzhou.
