武汉汽车工业大学(原名武汉工学院)是我国第一所汽车工业综合性大学,在80年代该校就率先在国内建立了第一个“摩托车及发动机”本科专业,专门为我国摩托车行业培养能从事摩托车及发动机设计、制造、试验、销售等方面的摩托车专业技术人才。目前,该校摩托车教研室已形成了具有一定学术水平又年富力强的教学及科研梯队,已具有摩托车新产品开发、试验和新技术研究的能力,武汉汽车工业大学已成为国内摩托车技术人才
