We used this study to investigate the expression of AFP mRNA in recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma and its association with the origin of liver cancer recurrence. The results are reported below. First, objects and methods Subjects 19 patients with recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma who were admitted to the rehabilitation department of our hospital and Changhai Hospital from November 1995 to October 1996 were selected, including 17 males and 2 females, aged 45 to 62 years.
