例1 汽车的速度为10m/s,某线路起点到终点长为4800米,在这条线路上每隔一分钟从两端同时各有一辆汽车相向出发,则某一辆汽车从起点到终点最多共与多少辆汽车相遇?解:汽车从一端开到另一端需行驶的时间t=s/v=(4800m)/(10m/s)=480s=8min 因两端每隔1min同时各有一辆汽车出发,所以在每辆汽车准备出发时,两站间的路面上已有9辆汽车从对面路上开过来,在汽车从一端开到另一端的8min时间里,对面又有8辆汽车出发,因而汽车从一端开到另一端共与17辆汽车相遇,其中包括汽车刚启动时相遇到站和汽车停,止时相遇出站
