地处“洞庭天下水,岳阳天下楼”的长江沿岸港口城市岳阳市的湖南民族职业学院围绕“和谐与发展”主题,围绕“民族教育要有特色,民族学生要有特长,民族感情要有特点,民族事情要特办”的思路,切实加强民族教育,培养复合型社会应用人才。学院现有少数民族学生达1000多人,约占在校生总数的20%,有藏族、维吾尔族等23个少数民族,民族学生已成为该校一道重要风景线,民族教育已成为学校最大的特色。湖南民族职业学院已相继被国务院评为“全国
