I. INTRODUCTION Accurate vibration measurement systems are widely needed in laboratories in government and industry. As a laboratory standard, back-to-back accelerometers have some advantages, as discussed in this article. It also has some unique calibration problems. The test data obtained for a back-to-back accelerometer sample using two calibration methods was published. One is the use of optical interferometers
