合蒲县林科所现有1,000余亩松林,大部分是7-9年生的馬尾松純林。1972年2-3月越冬代松毛虫发生400多亩,虫口密度40-50条/株。第一代虫情繼續发展,扩大到1,000余亩,虫口密度急剧上升,每株有虫几十条到几百条。为了落实毛主席“备战、备荒、为人民”的伟大战略方針,及时扑灭虫害,保护森林資源,合蒲县林科所党支部認眞研究了治虫工作。在越冬代松毛虫活动期,及时組織工人、科技人員深入林区調查,做好测报工作,在松毛虫猖獗发生时采用喷药及放烟防治法,基本上控制了虫灾的发展。
There are more than 1,000 mu of pine forest in Hepu Branch of Hepu County, most of which are pure Pinus massoniana forests aged 7-9 years old. From February to March in 1972, over 400 mu of overwintering Dendrolimus punctatus occurred and its population density was 40-50 per plant. The first generation of insects continue to develop, expanding to more than 1,000 acres, a sharp rise in population density, insects per plant several dozens to hundreds. During the overwintering period of activity of the pine caterpillars, we organized the workers, scientists and technicians in depth into the forest area for investigation and done a good job in reporting the cases. When the occurrence of pine caterpillars was rampant, the spraying and radiological control measures were basically adopted to control the development of the pests.
