道岔是铁路运行线路上的关键部件之一,直接影响列车通过的速度和铁路的运输能力。道岔不仅承受车轮很大的冲击疲劳载荷,而且磨耗也很严重。除了正线上使用高锰钢整体道岔外,其余多采用由长、短心轨、翼轨、尖轨、护轨和基本轨等组成的拼装道岔。这种组合部件均有容易磨损的部位,如尖轨、心轨、基本轨的踏面、护轨的工作面(钢轨的侧面)等。本文述及的感应淬火工艺参数主要是针对磨损最重的尖轨进行的。
