本田汽车公司的产量已经超过日产汽车公司而成为日本第二大汽车制造公司。2001年本田汽车公司是日本唯一一家产量逐年递增的汽车制造厂家,总产量为267万辆,同比增长6%。其总产量包括国内制造的128万辆(增长5%)和海外制造的139万辆(增长8%)。丰田汽车公司仍保持日本最高国内总产量,为513万辆,而日产汽车公司总产量仅为247万辆(下降5%),已滑到了日本国内第三大生产公司。
Honda Motor Co.’s output has surpassed that of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and has become Japan’s second-largest automobile manufacturing company. In 2001, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. was the only automobile manufacturer in Japan with an annual increase in production volume. The total output was 2.67 million vehicles, an increase of 6% year-on-year. Its total output includes 1.28 million domestically-built vehicles (up 5%) and 1.39 million overseas vehicles (up 8%). Toyota Motor Corporation still maintains Japan’s highest domestic output, which is 5.13 million vehicles, while Nissan Motor Co.’s total production is only 2.47 million vehicles (down 5%), and it has slipped to the third-largest production company in Japan.
