This article reports a collective food poisoning outbreak at a canteen in Lusaka, capital of Zambia. 102 patients, all nursing school students, the incubation period of 8 to 24 hours, the symptoms showed nausea, diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps, were taken to the hospital for treatment, all within a week to return to health. Salmonella was detected from both the patient’s feces and from the chickens he was given, and was identified by the department
