OBJECTIVE: To retrospectively compare the effects of skull drilling and urokinase drainage in the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (experimental group) and skull drilling aspiration in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (control group), and to understand the differences between the two methods Disease efficacy and prognosis differences. Methods: A retrospective comparative analysis of 64 cases treated with this method from 1997 to 1999 and 64 cases treated with skull drilling aspiration from 1991 to 1996 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The total effective rate and quality of life (ADL) in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group, especially those with large amount of bleeding (> 60 m L). The total mortality of experimental group was lower than that of control group, with statistical significance (P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Cranial drilling catheter urokinase drainage for the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage can better improve the quality of life of patients and reduce mortality.
