翻开计算所的成长记录,几乎就是一部浓缩了的中国计算机事业发展史。自1956年成立以来,中国科学院计算技术研究所一直与中国计算机事业息息相关,同步发展。由于学科自身的前沿性,特别是改革开放以后得以更加深入地进入到瞬息万变的国际前沿领域中去,计算所几乎在每一次的体制转轨中都首当其冲,经历了国内科研机构可能经历的所有变革。在这些巨变中,有些甚至是突如其来的变化,冲击了计算所,但同时也极大地丰富了计算所,使得它能够在一次又一次的剧烈转变中,保持冷静,保存信心,保证实力。

Since its establishment in 1956, CAS Institute of Computing Technology has been closely linked with the development of China's computer industry. Due to its own cutting-edge research, especially since the reform and opening up, more and more profound changes have taken place in the ever-changing international frontiers. Calculations bear the brunt of almost every institutional transition and have experienced all the changes that domestic research institutions may experience.
