据资料显示,英语词汇有50多万,大多数人的词汇却不到50分之一,学习者在阅读文章时碰到陌生词汇不可避免的。查字典,理所当然是一种排除阅读障碍的行之有效的方法,然而频繁的查字典必然会中断思路,这一过程常常影响学生的阅读兴趣。因此,一种语言庞大的词汇量与学习者有限的认识之间的矛盾,使得阅读中词义猜测策略Guessing Strategies显得十分必要。本文主要探讨词义猜测的过程和猜测中所运用的基本知识。
According to statistics, there are more than 500,000 English words and most people’s vocabulary is less than one-50th. Students are inevitably encountering strange words when reading the essay. Check the dictionary, of course, is an effective way to exclude dyslexia, however, frequent dictionary is bound to interrupt thinking, this process often affect students’ reading interest. Therefore, the contradiction between a large vocabulary of lexicon and a limited understanding of learners makes Guessing Strategies for reading guessing strategies seem necessary. This article mainly discusses the process of guessing and the basic knowledge used in guessing.
