新疆同我国所有民族区域自治的地方一样,是我们伟大祖国不可分割的一部分。早在两千多年前,西汉就开始在新疆设置行政机构行使其主权。两千多年来,新疆各族人民的命运与祖国的命运息息相关,紧密相连。一八四〇年以后,中华民族的灾难和厄运同样降临到新疆各族人民的头上,在近百年里,新疆各族人民为维护祖国统一,反抗帝国主义侵略,谱写了一篇篇可歌可泣的爱国主义诗篇,本文仅就新疆近代各族人民爱国主义的几个特点谈点粗浅的看法。
