吴冠中先生是我国当代杰出的艺术家、艺术教育家。在数十年漫长而艰辛的艺术实践中,他寂寞耕耘,不断进行大胆的创造性的尝试。他始终坚持从民族的欣赏习惯出发,始终以“我为人民作画、我要努力画出人民的美感”作为自己艺术的立足点,始终以表现中国人民的情感、气质和美感为追求,坚持以“群众点头、专家鼓掌”作为对自己艺术创作的要求,努力探索既能反映时代风貌,又为人民喜闻乐见的艺术形式,在中西绘画融合方面走出了一条与众不同的道路,在百花齐放的画坛中独树一帜,形成了吴冠中艺术的独特风格。
Mr. Wu Guanzhong is an outstanding contemporary artist and art educator in our country. In decades of long and arduous artistic practices, he worked hard and constantly bold and creative attempts. He always insisted on starting from the appreciation habit of the nation and always took “I paint for the people and I want to work hard to draw the beauty of the people.” As the standpoint of my art, I always regard the emotion, temperament and aesthetics as the pursuit of the Chinese people. Adhere to the “nodding, experts applauding ” as their own artistic creation requirements, and strive to explore both reflect the style of the times, but also for the people loved the art form, in the integration of Chinese and Western painting out of a distinctive way, in Unique in painting circles, Wu Guanzhong formed a unique style of art.
