根据教育部高等教育司颁布的《大学英语课程教学要求》,非英语专业大学生应能完成一般性写作任务,能写常见的应用文。能就一般性话题、提纲、表格或图示在半小时内写出不少于120词的短文,内容基本完整,中心思想明确,用词恰当,语义连贯,条理清楚,文理通顺。这些要求看似简单,但在四、六级考试和课内写作练习中,许多作文都差强人意,表现为词汇匮乏、句式单一、语法错误严重及缺乏逻辑和连贯性等。因此,必须了解学生英语写作中错误的根源,在写作教学实践中有针对性地帮助学生提高写作能力。
According to the “College English Curriculum Requirements” promulgated by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, non-English majors should be able to complete general writing tasks and be able to write common application essays. He can write short essays of not less than 120 words in half an hour on general topics, outline, form or illustration. The contents are basically complete, the central idea is clear, the words are appropriate, the semantics are consistent, the rules are clear, and the arts are fluent. These requirements may seem simple, but many of the compositions are unsatisfactory in the exams of Grade Four and Six and writing in the classroom. They are characterized by lack of vocabulary, single sentences, serious grammatical errors and lack of logic and coherence. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the root causes of mistakes in students’ English writing and to help students improve their writing skills in writing teaching practice.
