(April 18, 1990) Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear friends, Comrades, On the occasion of the establishment of China Association of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspections, I would like to extend my warm congratulation on behalf of the State Administration of Import and Export Commodity Inspection. Boiler pressure vessels are important commodities that concern safety, hygiene and environmental protection. With the development of China’s foreign economic relations and trade, the number of import and export boiler pressure vessels is increasing day by day. In order to ensure the quality and safety performance of pressure vessels for import and export boilers, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of all parties involved in foreign trade and promoting the smooth development of the relations of foreign economy and trade. In 1985, the State Administration of Commodity Inspection and the Ministry of Labor jointly formulated the supervision and management measures on pressure vessels of import and export boilers and implemented compulsory inspection on import and export boiler pressure vessels.
