本文在简要介绍美国城市空间建设发展背景的基础上,概述了三个有关问题。一,美国城市中存在着大量消极空间,这是专业人员的用武之地。二,公共空间的私有化和商业化。专业人员面临着如何相应地改造传统空间发展新型空间的挑战。三,如何评价公共空间的环境质量。只有专业人员同开发者、使用者和管理者紧密协作,才能创造出真正有意义的、符合市民行为要求的、为人们所喜爱的公共场所。哈尔滨建筑工程学院建筑系副教授。
Based on a brief introduction to the background of urban space development in the United States, this article outlines three related issues. First, there is a lot of negative space in U.S. cities. This is where professionals are put to use. Second, the privatization and commercialization of public space. Professionals are faced with the challenge of how to adapt traditional space to develop new types of space accordingly. Third, how to evaluate the environmental quality of public space. Only professionals working closely with developers, users, and managers can create truly meaningful, public-appropriate public places that meet citizens’ behavioral requirements.
