厦门大学固体表面物理化学实验室是我国目前唯一设在经济特区的国家重点实验室,1987年获准建设,1990年2月建成通过国家验收,正式向国内外开放。实验室实行主任负责制和学术委员会评审制。中科院学部委员田昭武教授任实验室主任,厦门大学化学系主任、中科院福建物构所所长张乾二教授任实验室副主任。中科院学部委员蔡启瑞教授任学术委员会主任,中科院学部委员唐有祺教授任学术委员会副主任。随着当今科学技术的迅速发展,表面科学越来越显示出其重要性。固体表面是表面科学的研究主体。而
