卫星搭载CR-39探测空间辐射环境粒子LET谱分布,通常需要通过地面模拟实验获得如图1~([1])所示的受限能损REL(restricted energy loss)和CR-39径迹过剩蚀刻速率比V-1的刻度曲线,因此受限能损是利用CR-39探测空间辐射环境粒子LET谱的关键参数。受限能损REL通常可由下式~([2])给出:
