隐喻表达方式与隐喻概念紧密相连 ,不同的隐喻概念必然产生不同的隐喻。在使用隐喻时 ,应特别注意隐喻概念前后一致 ,确保隐喻连贯性 ,否则就会产生“混杂隐喻” ,导致“譬喻不伦”。隐喻的意义并不都是固定不变的。人们 ,尤其是不同文化背景的人 ,可能使用同一隐喻表达不同的事物或概念 ,也可能会用不同隐喻表达同一事物或概念。因此 ,翻译时可能出现跨文化交际中的“混杂隐喻”。译者的注解有时有助于向其它文化借用隐喻 ,消除隐喻不连贯
Metaphorical expressions are closely linked with metaphorical concepts, and different metaphorical concepts inevitably produce different metaphors. When using metaphor, special attention should be paid to consistency of metaphorical concepts to ensure consistency of metaphor, otherwise, “mixed metaphor” will be produced, resulting in “metaphorical.” Not all metaphorical meanings are fixed. People, especially those of different cultural backgrounds, may use the same metaphor to express different things or concepts, or they may use different metaphors to express the same thing or concept. Therefore, there may be “mixed metaphors” in intercultural communication during translation. Translator’s notes sometimes help to borrow metaphors from other cultures and eliminate metaphorical inconsistencies
