1 忌比较不合逻辑
应避免自我比较。使用比较级时，比较对象中不能包括比较者本身，如果所比较的人或物同属一类别，须用other将比较的人或物本身排除在比较的范围之外。如不能说Shanghai is larger than any cily in China，因为“any city”本身已包括Shanghai，应改为…arger than any olher city，(any other+单数名词，any other+复数名词被视为不规范英语，最好不要用。)或larger than the other cities(the other+复数名词)，或larger than any of the other cities(any of the other+复数名词)等形式。如果比较的双方不属同一范围或同一类，则不加other，如：Shanghai is larger than any city in Hubal.(上海比湖北省的任何城市都大。)
注意：比较的另一方如果是不定代词anyone，anything等，则应在其后加else。如：
