从历史的发展进程来看,“十七年”文学之所以具有现代性,既因为它对民族国家现代化历程的表现基本上与民族国家的现代化进程同步,也因为它多层次、多方位地体现了现代性的诸多特征。这种复杂的现代性特征,在“十七年”诗歌中表现得非常突出。国家与个体、理性与情感、理想与现实等相互矛盾、相互渗透的现代性价值因子在“十七年”诗歌中的共存,体现了诗人们为实现诗歌的现代化对中外诗歌现代性传统的继承与超越。一方面,“十七年”诗歌对国家独立与完整的礼赞,对公平的革命伦理的倡导,对民族国家美好前程的憧憬,与西方启蒙现代性的理论指向基本一致。而它在内涵与形式上的独特性,又无疑极大地丰富和发展了西方的启蒙现代性。另一方面,“十七年”诗歌对封建伦理的颠覆,对诗人、普通民众情感的顺应,对一代新人的塑造,又与西方审美现代性的理论指向基本趋同。“十七年”诗歌现代性的这种丰富性与复杂性,最能反映其现代性的综合特征。

This richness and complexity of the modernity of “Seventeen Years ” poetry can best reflect the comprehensive characteristics of its modernity.
