Rock art is internationally known as a new discipline, especially in China. However, if rock paintings from China were surveyed by Professor Huang Zhongqin at the beginning of this century for the painting of the fairy pond in Fujian Province, there are still several decades of history in China. The problem is rock paintings as an independent discipline, its theory and methodology is far from mature. The development of petroglyphics is too slow. The distance between the petroglyphs’ discovery and its corresponding research is too large. So far, there have been almost no articles or monographs in our country devoted to rock theory and methodology
