高速公路的电子设备安装工程是高速公路建设的重要组成部分，与土建工程有诸多不同之处。国内施工经验不足，有些高速公路建设项目的电子设备安装工程由国外的公司承担。施工中必须注意到，土建工程要为电子设备安装创造良好条件。有国外人员参加施工和进口诸多设备的项目，必须协调好国内海关等诸多部门的关系和选派具有一定外语能力的人员担任监理工程师和业主代表。设备运行后，日常维修保养是必不可少的，维修人员要参加设备安装施工的全过程，全面了解设备测定调试详细情况，为运行后的维修做好技术准备。
