上世纪80年代以来,随着社会审美意识的变化,很多戏曲剧种都在积极进行剧目创新,试图将时代精神灌注到传统戏曲中。其中新编历史剧成为剧作家用力颇深的一个领域,出现了一批很有分量的剧作,如陈亚先的京剧《曹操与杨修》,郑怀兴的蒲仙戏《新亭泪》,魏明伦的川剧《巴山秀才》,等等。作为“百戏之祖”的昆剧,由于本身历史悠久,程式化程度过高,可塑性不强,革新的步履要比其它剧种慢不少,基本上是以演传统折子戏为主,或改编一些传统戏。但不鸣则已,一鸣惊人。郭启宏的《南唐遗事》不仅是昆剧革新的杰出代表作,而且成为了80年代戏曲现代化进程中不可或缺的典范之作。该剧突破新编历史剧“古为今用”的简单实用的模式,虽是军国大事和政治变迁的题材,但作者着重发掘人物内心深处的活动,剧中赵匡胤虽赢得天下,但充满了爱情和人性的失落感;李煜获得了文化和爱情的某种满足,却有不尽的丧国之痛,从中烛照出人类某些共同的情感和哲理。《南唐遗事》也为后来90年代以及本世纪初的文人历史昆剧的创作提供了借鉴。
Since the 1980s, with the change of social aesthetic awareness, many opera genres are actively rehearsing plays in an effort to infuse the spirit of the times into traditional Chinese opera. Among them, the newly-created historical play has become a field where the dramatists have exerted a lot of weight. A series of playful compositions have appeared such as Chen Yaoxian’s “Cao Cao and Yang Xiu”, the poetic drama “Xin Ting Tears” by Zheng Huai-xing, Sichuan Opera by Wei Minglun “Bashan scholar,” and so on. As the “ancestor of Chinese opera”, Kunqu Opera, because of its long history, high degree of stylization, lack of plasticity and slower pace of innovation than other operas, is basically based on the traditional play-offs, or adapted from some Traditional drama. But it is not the Ming, blockbuster. Guo Qionghong’s “Southern Tang Dynasty legacy” is not only an outstanding masterpiece of Kunqu Opera Revolution, but also an indispensable example in the process of modernization of Chinese opera in the 1980s. The play breaks through the simple and practical model of the newly-created historical drama “The ancient is the present and the present”, although it is the theme of major events and political changes in the military. However, the author focuses on exploring the innermost feelings of the characters. Although Zhao Kuangyin won the world, it is full of love and humanity Sense of loss; Li Yu gained a certain satisfaction of culture and love, but there are endless painful loss of the country, from which the candle to some of humanity’s common emotions and philosophy. “Southern Tang legacy” also provides reference for later literary creation of Kunqu Opera in 1990s and early 2000s.
