The main synthesis methods of nifedipine (1) and o-nitrobenzaldehyde (2) are summarized. The method comprises the following steps of: synthesizing 1 by using 2 or o-nitrodihalomethylbenzene (3) as a starting material; and synthesizing 2 by using o-nitrotoluene and o-nitroethylbenzene as starting materials.
