A fast, accurate and stable HPLC method for the analysis of drug substance nicotine in transdermal dosage forms and UV detector for HPLC was introduced. This method uses a new multiphase polymerization column that can be used in conjunction with reverse phase and ion exchange columns for separation. The column packing is a microporous resin bead whose outer surface is permanently covered with a thin film of ion exchange latex. This highly crosslinked macroporous resin particle provides a sufficiently large Of the surface area (300 m ~ 2 / g), covering the latex sulfonic acid cation exchange
