辅助器具是残疾人补偿和改善功能、提高生存质量、增强社会参与能力的最直接做有效的手段之一,在我国8300万残疾人中,60%以上需要配置辅助器具,从“八五”开始,通过几个五年计划的努力,中国残联已经基本建立了残疾人辅具服务网络,但对于广大残疾人的迫切需求而言,现有机构的辐射能力还非常不足,难以深入每个角落,特别是边远地区的残疾人得不到辅助器具服务。
