毛白杨以其生长快、材质好、树形壮观,寿命长,抗烟和抗污染能力强,成为农田林网、四旁,工矿绿化的当家树种。但雌杨树春天飘白絮,严重影响了环境。为此,林业部门决定用基因杨替代普通毛白杨。一、基因杨的特性被称为基因杨的三倍体毛白杨,吸收了其他毛白杨的优良基因,运用基因重组技术制成,其生长速度比一般杨树快30%,能迅速成林,且抗病能力强。三倍体毛白杨不产生种子,解决了飘白絮的问题。二、三倍体毛白杨的繁殖三倍体毛白杨不产生种子,只能用营养繁殖法,但其枝条内含生根原基较少,插条生根困难。生产上常用“一条鞭”芽接法和接炮捻法来繁殖。
