长航工农兵船厂在修理“东方红407”号轮时,使用环氧粘结剂修复了腐蚀穿孔的铸铁螺旋桨叶片。该轮在进厂修理时,两只螺旋桨的六爿叶片均有大面积(达200×300毫米)的空泡腐蚀,其中四爿叶片有腐蚀穿孔,最大穿孔面积达60×100毫米,此外,还有多处直径在30~40毫米的小面积穿孔。使用环氧粘结剂修补,仅需3~4个人工,100元左右费用。修复后的螺旋桨,经二年多的航行实践,证明性能良好,由于表面涂有光洁度较高的环氧树脂层,船的航速甚至比原来还快。
