8月下旬,江苏省植物病理学会组织省农科院植保所、南京农学院植保系、省农林厅植保处的有关同志,对赣榆县的甘薯线虫病、花生根结线虫病及沛县的大豆胞囊线虫病进行了实地考察.六十年代前期,甘薯线虫病在赣榆县就有零星发生,1974年病田蔓延到8.5万亩,占全县甘薯种植面积的43%.1975年后,经不断试验和推广综合防治技术,茎线虫病的发生和为害基本得到控制.1982年全县发病面积下降到1.4万亩,仅占6.7%.综合防治措施包括种植抗病品种,水旱轮作或与非寄主作物轮作,薯块入窖高温处理,高剪苗和清除病薯,施用无茎线虫的土杂肥等,其中以前四项措施最为重要.
