无论水稻基因组的成功绘制能否最终使人类摆脱饥饿,对科学都需要辨别两种态度:或寄科学以厚望,或迷信科学。不过,对科学的迷信很容易造成对科学的敌意。
Regardless of whether the successful mapping of the rice genome can finally bring humanity out of hunger, science needs to discern two attitudes: sending its hopes for science or superstitious science. However, superstitions in science can easily lead to hostility toward science.
