Patty Chang的影片《香格里拉》是一部关于香格里拉这个神秘名词的产生过程与其产生的相关真实和虚幻想象。1997年,云南省一个叫做中滇的小镇决定将其名字改为根据詹姆斯·西尔顿在1933年发表的名为《消逝的地平线》的小说中所提到的那个神秘的地点——“香格里拉”。
Patty Chang’s film Shangri-La is a true and illusory picture of the production of Shangri-La’s mysterious term. In 1997, a small town in Yunnan Province called Zhongdian decided to change its name to the mysterious place mentioned in James Shelton’s 1933 novel “The Elan Horizon” Shangri-La.
