《永乐大典》(下文简称《大典》)是明代永乐年间编成的一部大型类书,全书22877卷,11095册。嘉靖末年,宫禁失火,明世宗为防备不虞,命馆臣重抄一部,历时五年于隆庆元年(1567)抄成,《大典》于是有永乐本、嘉靖本两部。明亡之后,永乐本不知所踪,一般认为是毁于明末战火;嘉靖本也没能逃脱被毁散佚的厄运。入清以后,由于官员监守自盗,清乾隆年间编修《四库全书》时,发现已丢失1000馀册;第二次鸦片战争以后,嘉靖本《大典》惨遭劫
“Yongle Ceremony” (hereinafter referred to as “Ceremony”) is a large class book compiled in the Ming Dynasty Yongle, 22877 volumes, 11095 volumes. In the late years of Jiajing, the palace banned the fire. The Ming Sejong was prepared to guard against danger. The museum ordered a copy of it for a long time, which lasted for five years and was copied into the first year of Longqing (1567). There were two books, Yongle Ben and Jiajing.
