库里蒂巴位于巴西的南部,是巴西第五大城市。30多年前,同世界许多大城市一样,库里蒂巴被人口、交通、环境等问题所困扰。街道拥挤,垃圾遍布,洪涝灾害不断,库里蒂巴曾呈现一振衰败的景象。1971年,33岁的建筑师,同时又是城市规划者和人文学者的盖默·靳那出任市长。从此,库里蒂巴逐渐从严重的社会问题和环境问题中解脱出来,并建设成为一座非常自然化、人性化的世界生态之都,成为世界上第一批被联合国命名的5座“最适宜人居的城市之一”。另4座是:加拿大的温哥华,法国的巴黎,意大利的罗马,澳大利亚的悉尼。
Curitiba is located in the south of Brazil, is Brazil’s fifth largest city. More than 30 years ago, like many of the world’s largest cities, Curitiba was plagued by population, transport and environmental problems. Crowded streets, garbage all over, floods continue, Curitiba has shown signs of decline. In 1971, Gai Meijin, a 33-year-old architect who was also urban planner and humanist, became mayor. Since then, Curitiba has been gradually freed from serious social and environmental problems and has become a very natural and humane world ecological city. It has become the first batch of 5 “most appropriate One of the Habitat cities. ” The other four are: Vancouver, Canada, Paris, France, Italy, Rome, Australia, Sydney.
