不久前朋友的电脑升级,由两条256MB内存升级为两条512MB共计1GB容量,在WindowsXP中同时运行多个程序、多窗口浏览网页都有了明显的性能提升,系统很少处于繁忙阶段,朋友大呼过瘾,原来他的电脑依旧可以流畅地运行。而今,有不少电脑的内存标准配置都是在512MB或者1GB左右,可是在两年前,GB为单位的内存还只是高端玩家的专利。另一方面,微软在前不久公布了Vista操作系统的硬件需求,明确指出流畅运行需要1GB以上的内存。但是我们都知道,早先发布WindowsXP前微软也曾信誓旦旦地说512MB内存够用了,可实际情况是,512MB内存刚刚够用,1GB才真的流畅。更何况,在日后更加强调多任务并行运转的双核心处理器时代,1GB容量的内存是否能应付得来这样更为复杂的数据处理工作呢?
