The 2016 Hong Kong-Macau Biennale of Visual Arts, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Social and Cultural Affairs Department of the Macao SAR Government, was recently held in Beijing Minsheng Art Museum. Ding Wei, Vice Minister of Culture, Li Mei-chang, Director of Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Li Lijiao, Director of Cultural Affairs Office of Macao SAR Government and Cultural Affairs Bureau attended the opening ceremony. During the exhibition, art exchange activities such as expert seminars were also held. The Mainland and the potential Australian artists made full exchange and wrote a new chapter for the common development and communication and cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao culture and the arts.
