我校的米丘林科学小组,组织学生在课外活动时间,进行关于米丘林生物学的长期的各种实验。一年来,在植物的无性繁殖方面,除了用不同种和不同品种的植物嫁接外,也进行了许多植物的压条分株工作。现在我们关于实验各种果树夏季杄插也取得了成功,今将实验过程简述如下:一、参加这个工作实验的是由爱好生物科学的张诚一、姚中森、乐方礼、薛书雲、叶锡琴、宋同玉等六个同学,利用课外活动时间进行的。这次实验共进行两次。第一次我们根据华汝成所编的关于“无性繁殖有保持植物优良性质、改良植物品种,以及使植物早期开花结实的功效的叙述。我们便于去年夏季(6月28日)趁雨水较多的季节,领导米丘林科学小组的同学开僻了5.6分地,加工施肥以后,便剪取了一般插技常用的校条,如玫瑰、箭杆杨、月季、葡萄等当年的旺亲,截成4寸长,取左右的株距,进行杄插。结果所插的枝条的末端都生了不定根,
