本文中“动副型合成名词”主要指由英语短语动词通过转化与合成而派生的名词,如comeback,showoff,makeup。本文首先用实例展现过去几年中这类名词在北美(尤其在美国)的广泛传播,然后从语言学角度分析了这类名词的形成原因和机理,包括句法上可以与相应的短语动词相互转换和概念上表示一个脱离时间维度的过程;此外还讨论了此类名词的应用,指出它易于通过隐喻或换喻扩展词义;最后,建议我国学生应该培养在语境中理解这类名词词义的能力。
In this paper, “verb vice compound noun” mainly refers to the noun phrase derived from the English phrase verb through conversion and synthesis, such as comeback, showoff, makeup. In this paper, we first use an example to illustrate the widespread dissemination of such nouns in North America (especially in the United States) in the past few years and then analyze the causes and mechanisms of the formation of such nouns from the perspective of linguistics, including the syntactic equivalence with the corresponding phrasal verbs And conceptually expresses a process that departs from the dimension of time. In addition, it discusses the application of such nouns and points out that it is easy to extend meaning through metaphor or metonymy. Finally, it is suggested that our students should develop the ability to understand the meaning of such nouns in context .
