湖南种植柑桔有悠久的历史。但是解放前,种植零散,面积不大,产量也不高。建国后,种植地域扩大,有的地方建立了柑桔生产基地,甚至断续绵延百里。也有的地方历史上从未种过的也开始小片试种。但由于周期性大寒冻的危害,湖南省柑桔几度起落,冻害成为柑桔生产的主要障碍。因此如何减轻或避免周期性大寒冻的危害,是一个急待解决的问题。
Citrus cultivation in Hunan has a long history. However, before liberation, planting scattered, small area, the yield is not high. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the planting area expanded. Citrus production bases were established in some places and even intermittently extended hundreds of miles. In some places, it has never been planted before in the history. However, due to the damage caused by the cyclical major freezing, the citrus in Hunan Province has several ups and downs, and the frost damage has become the major obstacle in the production of citrus. Therefore, how to reduce or avoid the harm of the cyclical big freeze is an urgent problem to be solved.
