The average annual growth rate of Shenzhen’s GDP was 31.2% and the average annual growth rate of industrial added value was 45.4%. The fiscal revenue in local budgets grew at an average annual rate of 41.8% In 1999, the output value of hi-tech products in the city amounted to 81.98 billion yuan, accounting for 45% of the total industrial output value.
