2009年1月9日,一纸《工信部关于1990~1920MHz频段相关事宜的通知》,宣告了小灵通在中国的最后命运。一石激起千层浪,一时间,各种声音不绝于耳。有人以维权之名投诉工信部;有人提议小灵通应改频到空闲频段,继续保留;还有人提出中国电信和中国联通将小灵通业务剥离出去,卖给一家单独的运营公司,继续运营。无论哪种说法,小灵通退市已经是不争的趋势。而对于小灵通退市后留给市场的巨大用户群的争夺,则立即引起市场的广泛关注。
January 9, 2009, a piece of paper, “Ministry of Industry on the 1990 ~ 1920MHz band related issues notice,” announced the final fate of PHS in China. A stone aroused Melaleuca waves, for a time, all kinds of voices heard. Some people complained to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in the name of human rights protection; it was suggested PHS should be converted to the free frequency band, continue to be retained; others suggested that China Telecom and China Unicom divest the PHS business, sold to a separate operating company to continue operations. No matter what kind of statement, PHS delisting is an indisputable trend. For the PHS market after leaving the huge user base for the contention, immediately caused widespread concern in the market.
