在妇科临床中,有一味中药医生会经常使用,这就是益母草。根据地方及相关书中记载,益母草也常被称为益母蒿、益母艾、红花艾、坤草、茺蔚等别名,这些别名在临床处方中也有时出现。现行中国药典中的记述,益母草为唇形科植物,其用药部位为益母草的新鲜或干燥的地上部分。鲜品宜春季幼苗期至初夏花前期采割;干品则夏季茎叶茂盛、花未开或初开时采割为宜,经晒干,或切段晒干后用于临床用药。
