With the discovery of a large number of paintings confiscated and stolen in Munich, Nazi attacks on modern art once again became the headlines. An exhibition was held in a timely manner in a new gallery in New York in an attempt to show the complex attitude of the Socialist Party towards “fallen art” while commemorating the artists who they tried to destroy.
