1992年3月,联合国决定第四次世界妇女大会于1995年在中国北京召开。这是联合国举行的各国政府研究妇女问题并作出决策的世界大会,主题是:以行动谋求平等、发展与和平,次主题为健康、教育和就业。这将对促进妇女全面参与发展产生巨大的影响。此次大会在中国召开,其本身就是对新中国成立以来中国妇女解放运动蓬勃发展的巨大成就的肯定。通过大会的召开,也使世界各国更好地认识、了解中国妇女解放事业,展现具有自尊、自信、自立、自强精神的中国女性的时代风貌。在纪念三八国际
In March 1992, the United Nations decided that the Fourth World Conference on Women be held in 1995 in Beijing, China. This is the world convention held by the United Nations to study and make decisions on the issue of women by the governments of various countries on the theme of: “Seeking equality, development and peace through action”; and on the sub-themes of health, education and employment. This will have a huge impact on the full participation of women in development. The convening of this conference in China is in itself an affirmation of the tremendous achievements made by the Chinese women’s liberation movement since the founding of new China. Through the convening of the General Assembly, all countries in the world can also better understand and understand the cause of Chinese women’s liberation and show the characteristics of Chinese women with self-esteem, confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement.
