通过历史教学,对青少年学生进行爱国主义教育,是建设社会主义精神文明的一个重要方面。赵紫阳总理在第五届全国人民代表大会第四次会议的政府工作报告中指出:“各级学校都要加强中国历史和地理的教学,这是向学生进行爱国主义教育的一个重要内容。”王震同志也在《红旗》杂志上发表文章,勉励青年学习历史,发扬爱国主义精神。这对我们广大教育工作者,尤其对历史教师是极大的鼓舞和鞭策。
