在著名的镇江西津古渡石塔右侧,有一幢普通的清末建筑,门楣上镶嵌着三个苍劲有力的大字:“救生会”,落款是:“光绪乙末冬重修”,令人肃然起敬。走进大门,是一座六角凉亭,一转弯便是一栋总面积不足二百平方米的两层建筑,楼对面则是三开门面的平房。整个大院没有曲径通幽的胜景,更没有雕梁画栋的豪华,倒像小富人家的寓所,这就是名扬四海的镇江西津古渡救生会旧址。
In the famous Zhenjiang Xijin ancient cross-stone tower on the right, there is an ordinary late Qing Dynasty building, lintel inlaid with three vigorous and powerful characters: “life-saving society”, inscribed is: “Guangxu B winter overhaul”, awe-inspiring. Into the door, is a hexagonal gazebo, a turn is a total area of less than two hundred square meters of two-story building, opposite the building is the three open facade cottage. The whole compound has no curvaceous sceneries, but there is no luxury carved like a house of rich people, which is famous everywhere in Zhenjiang Xijin ancient land lifesaving site.
