Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has developed artificial Cordyceps sinensis, after genetic identification, shows that the chemical composition of their finished products and natural very similar. Estimated to be available on the market next year, priced at about 500 Hong Kong dollars / kg, much lower than the natural Cordyceps sinensis about 20,000 Hong Kong dollars per catty.
